DECLARATIONS OF PERFORMANCE

What is the Declaration of Performance (DoP)?

According to the EU Regulation no. 305/2011, EU Regulation no. 157/2014 and EU Regulation no. 574/2014 through a Declaration of Performance (DOP) the producer takes responsibility for the conformity of the product with its declared performances.

The Declaration of Performance or DoP is a personalized document, attached to each product, which provides detailed information about the construction product – producer, the manufacturer’s country of origin, technical information and specifications, information about the chemical compounds, and product or lot performance.

The DoP is unique and cannot be assigned to more than one product manufactured by the company. Suppliers and retailers are obliged to deliver to the end client the DoP in printed form or include the product DoP number and code in the merchandise shipping documentation along with a link to a resource where the document can be downloaded and printed.

The DoP was created by the EU to increase transparency and facilitate tracking resistance and mechanical stability, fire safety, hygiene, public health and environmental issues, the use of materials under safe conditions, energy conservation and insulation or the sustainable use of natural resources.
